POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Executive
Director, Consular Corps College at St. Petersburg College
DEPARTMENT: Consular Corps College
SALARY SCHEDULE: A & P
GRADE: D
BASIC FUNCTION:
Provides leadership and overall
management direction to the Consular Corps College (CCC) at St. Petersburg
College.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establishes and oversees through the joint
CCC Advisory Board the development of programs of the CCC at SPC.
• Provides leadership to staff in the
development and implementation of short and long range plans and policies.
• Directs the financial management of
the CCC, including the development and implementation of the annual budget.
• Assists the Chairman of the Board of
Chancellors in carrying out the agenda developed by the joint CCC Advisory
Board.
· Conducts
annual negotiations with other organizations such as associations and
foundations.
• Responsible for the administration of
overall operation of the CCC at SPC, including reviewing and evaluating the
results of program activities, and contractual obligations for effectiveness
and efficiency.
• Seeks input from appropriate
constituencies regarding services provided by the CCC and SPC.
• Communicates with a wide range of
individuals and groups on a local, state, national and international
level to identify and secure resources to support the mission of the CCC.
• Oversees the development and
implementation of training programs associated with the CCC.
• Monitors all programs and services
sponsored by the center and, in coordination with Institutional Advancement,
ensures that a successful marketing plan is instituted for the CCC.
• Ensures that information and research
developed by the CCC is disseminated.
• Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5) years of related experience, with preference given
to those experienced with a governing board or similar association.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of language skills. Ability to read, analyze and
interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial
reports, legal documents, technical procedures and government regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form. Ability to
effectively present information to membership, top management, public groups
and boards of directors. Ability to plan, direct and coordinate activities.
Ability to negotiate and administer contracts. Ability to work with commercial
vendors, government agencies, community groups and other organizations.
