POSITION DESCRIPTION

SALARY SCHEDULE: Career - GRADE: 3
BASIC FUNCTION:
Operates various college
vehicles including a school bus and multi-passenger motor coach in transporting
teams and college staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v
Drives
a school bus or multi-passenger motor coach transporting college staff to
games, events or meetings.
v
Works
a varied time schedule to include nights, weekends, holidays and overnight.
v
Performs
pre-trip inspections on vehicles as part of vehicle safety and maintenance
policy and laws.
v
Maintains
fuel levels and performs minor repairs when necessary.
v
Schedules
travel routes in cooperation with supervisors.
v
Maintains
and compiles records relating to trips and vehicles.
v
Performs
related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an
accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
Possession of a Florida Driver’s License.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years experience
in the operation of a bus, multi-passenger motor coach or similar vehicles.
Good driving record. Class "B" Florida CDL with air brake and
passenger endorsement.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of the operations
of a bus, multi-passenger motor coach or similar vehicle. Some mechanical
knowledge. Skill in reading comprehension. Knowledge of Florida driving laws
and regulations. Ability to schedule trips and maintain records. Good
communications skills. Knowledge of sentence structure and word usage.
Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to pass a post qualification physical
examination and drug and alcohol test, as may be required. Corrected hearing
and vision acceptable.
