POSITION TITLE:
Business
Services Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Leepa-Rattner

BASIC FUNCTION:
Performs
duties of a Business Services Coordinator for the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art,
Inc., a non-profit 501(C)3 cultural institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and maintains
financial records of the Museum.

Handles all payables and
receivables.
-
Recommends and develops
financial policies and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Reports to the Museum
Director, LRMA Board Treasurer, Board of Directors and the College on the
business and financial status of the Museum.

Manages the financial
accountability of local, state and federal agencies for monies allocated to
the Museum through grants, foundations and/or other philanthropies.

Oversees the budgets and
budgetary processes of the Museum including the departments of Administration,
Education, Curatorial, Development and auxiliary fundraising units such as the
Palette Society.

Coordinates with outside
auditors to represent and interpret the financial status of the Museum.

Works with software
programs including QuickBooks©, Point-of-Sale (POS) ©, and Results Plus to
maintain efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Responsible for following
accepted business practices.

Operates within the rules
and regulations of the College.

Works with the SPC
Foundation, Inc. to develop cooperative relationships.

Performs related duties as
required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation
from an accredited high school with additional coursework or certification in
accounting and/or business management.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Six (6) years
experience in a business management position.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of
accepted business operations and practices within a non-profit environment.
Ability to work with financial software programs and other developed computer
literacy. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated
management skills.
