BASIC FUNCTION:
Coordinates, prepares and
conducts follow-up studies to obtain student-employer generated evaluations
relevant to SPJC educational standards of preparation, and assists with the
development, processing and review of other survey forms and related
information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
v
Conducts
placement and follow-up study among completers and leavers.
v
Assists
in the development and processing of survey forms that are part of Planning,
Evaluation, Assessment and Review (PEAR).
v
Communicates
and supervises the mail/telephone survey process.
v
Assists
College research personnel in data accumulation and review.
v
Provides
feedback based on information obtained from follow-up process.
v
Maintains
current data on student placement, A.S. program reviews and Performance Based
Incentive Funding (PBIF).
v
Provides
research data requested by outside agencies as they relate to placement and
follow-up.
v
Assists
in the preparation and distribution of reporting data.
v
Prepares
statistical summaries, including charts and tables of data.
v
Performs
related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree
from an accredited two-year college or university.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Four (4) years experience
in college statistical work preferably in the institutional research area.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of sentence
structure, word usage and mathematics/statistics. Skill in reading
comprehension and in proofreading. Knowledge of Macintosh and other software.
Ability to work well with others. Communications skills.
