POSITION TITLE: Supervisor,
TV Operations

BASIC FUNCTION:
Oversees the operations and
personnel providing Instructional Television and Interactive classroom
Technical Support Services to all College departments and throughout the
community..
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises and overseas all
SPJC TV Operations staff, including TV Master Control personnel and Interactive
Classroom technical support personnel.

Coordinates and/or schedules
all TV Operations and Interactive Classroom technicians who support on-air
TV signals, live teleconferences, and live interactive student classes;
working closely with Electronic Campus personnel, faculty and administration.

Operates and provides training
and documentation for all Interactive Classrooms and TV Master Control
equipment and systems.

Facilitates the escalation of
problems and requests, which cannot be solved via Level-One or Level-Two
tech support to the TV Engineering Staff.

Maintains and reworks control
room for efficient operations according to the Chief Television Engineers
specifications.

Maintains control of supplies,
data files and equipment in Interactive Classrooms and Master control Areas.

Performs all duties of a TV
Master Control Center Technician when necessary.

Performs additional tasks to
exceed user expectations and promote a pleasant and productive work environment.

Performs related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s Degree in video-related
field preferred. Vocational Certificate acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Four (4) years experience
working with video production and distribution equipment with a least one
(1) year experience operating and maintaining Interactive Classrooms or
similar Video Conferencing Systems.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIRMENTS:
Communication skills. Knowledge
of broadcast production. Ability to use personal computers. Ability to
operate a variety of TV broadcasting equipment. Must be able to work in
live classroom situations and maintain a pleasant and professional manner
under pressure.
