BASIC FUNCTION:
Perform
routine security duties including routine patrols of campus buildings and
grounds, traffic control, security of college facilities, protection of
students and staff.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have graduated from an
accredited high school or possess an equivalency diploma from acceptable
source. Some college experience preferred.
Must possess a Security Officer “D”
License from the State of
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
One (1) year of security or
related experience. Military experience and/or prior security experience
desired. Previous security experience on
a college campus preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be familiar with the overall mission of the college, as well as college procedures and practices. Comprehend general operations of a security department. Applicant should possess the ability to interact effectively with students, staff and faculty as well as the general public in a tactful manner. Must have excellent verbal communications skills and be able to write complex reports in a coherent manner; and they should possess excellent reading comprehension. Applicant should possess the ability to assist the Senior Security Supervisor by temporarily overseeing contract personnel on a shift.
