POSITION TITLE: Special Services Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Special Services SITE: St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus
SALARY SCHEDULE: Senior Career - GRADE: 6
BASIC FUNCTION:
Performs responsible work in assisting in the college wide volunteer program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in education, business or related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years experience in planning meetings, workshops or conducting training programs.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of St. Petersburg College’s programs and services. Knowledge of the community and its resources. Ability to instruct persons in large and small groups. Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines. Ability to travel within the district and the state in order to facilitate activities. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License. Written and oral communication skills. Possession of negotiating skills to coordinate internal service with outside contractors. Skill in planning programs and facilitating details of volunteer service programs. Skill in organizing programs and data. Proficiency with all computer programs used by the program.
