POSITION TITLE: Student Services Officer
DEPARTMENT: Various SITE: Various
SALARY SCHEDULE: Senior Career - GRADE: 6
BASIC FUNCTION:
Performs student services functions in assisting and advising students, recruitment and retention of students and functioning as student liaison between them and faculty or staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associate's degree required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred with an emphasis on business and related fields.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Four (4) years experience working with students in an educational setting.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the programs available at SPC for students. Knowledge of the needs and attitudes of students in the area of assignment. Knowledge of the issues involved with the students in the group of assignment. Knowledge of the techniques used in recruitment and retention of students. Ability to relate to students in the specialized area of assignment. Verbal and written communications skills. Specialized communications skills in a specialized area, if required of the position. Computer skills. Ability to work with students, faculty and staff. Ability to work without direct supervision. Valid Florida Drivers License.
