POSITION TITLE: Technology Support  Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Baccalaureate Programs

SALARY SCHEDULE:  Technical                       GRADE:  2

BASIC FUNCTION:  

Exercises high-level technical skills to administer support and enhance the technical environment of a program, delivery and management.  (Server, Client Server Application, Student FTP Web Development, Labs, Hardware, Software, Angel, Web Conferencing Client, Multimedia, and Network Equipment)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree or equivalent in the area of data communications or related fields. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Four (4) years computer experience as related to information systems, data communications or related field,

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Broad-based knowledge and skill in industry standard software applications used in desktop, multimedia and Internet-based development. Knowledge of creating desktop audio, video and/or streaming media. Knowledge of HTML and capability of developing educational materials with it. Ability to install and maintain a variety of computer hardware and software. Interpersonal skills that include working well in a team environment, patience, and tactful courtesy to faculty and staff learning technology.
