Mail Communication

Domestic Mail
Mail going to another destination within the U.S. and mail going to Canada and Mexico cost the same for the first ounce, and there is an additional cost for each ounce or fraction of an ounce. A postcard costs less than regular mail.

Overseas Mail Rates
Depending on whether the mail is being sent by airmail or by sea. First class airmail rate is US 60
¢ for half an ounce and US 45¢ for each additional half an ounce.

You may drop your mail, with the appropriate postage, in any street mailbox, or at the post office.

Services provided by the United States Postal Service (USPS) include registered, certified, express, and special delivery mail. Some of these services are not available to certain countries. You may check at your local post office or call the post office for information.

Post offices are usually open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and some offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturdays. There is no postal service, except for special delivery mail, on Sundays and holidays.
