Ancient Rome and Florence, Italy (A)

Visit ancient Rome and the world’s greatest art in Florence.

The Italy study abroad program is designed to have students take Humanities abroad while immersed in the cities of Rome and Florence. Students have the option to take Humanities Abroad topic 3 (Rome from Antiquity to the Baroque Age) or Humanities Abroad topic 4 (The Development of Christianity – Its First Millennium). Students from the SPC Vocal Institute will have the opportunity to take an Applied Vocal Performance course where they will perform in several churches in Rome.

In addition to few regular classes on campus, students will spend more than 5 days in Rome. The city will be used as a field-based setting to accomplish the learning objectives for the class.

The primary goal of the course is to introduce the humanities curriculum while immersed within the Italian culture. Your knowledge will be enhanced through excursions to religious and historical sites, such as the Coliseum and the Vatican.

PROGRAM COST ESTIMATES
In order to help keep the group on schedule; students are responsible for purchasing transportation together with the group.
