The Waiver Option
for Faculty Graduate Courses

Guidelines

According to BOT Rule 6Hx23-2.022, faculty and identified administrative personnel may petition to substitute a graduate course for one or both of the two required graduate courses - a course in the history and philosophy of the community college, and a seminar in college teaching.

Procedure

For lower-division faculty, the Petition procedure, as described in the Rule, shall be managed and the decision for approval of the substitution made by the Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and the Provosts sitting as a group.

For Baccalaureate faculty, the Provost will forward the form to the Senior Vice President of the Baccalaureate Programs and University Partnerships for final approval.
