This is a federal program of gift assistance based upon financial need. Awards range from $400 to approximately $4,731 per year. Once a student completes the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), a standardized formula is used to determine eligibility for the Pell grant. A Student Aid Report (SAR) containing results of the federal analysis is mailed to students who complete a paper FAFSA application or emailed to students who complete the online FAFSA application.
