This is a federal program of gift assistance based upon financial need. Awards range from $400 to approximately $4,000 per year. Once a student completes the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), a standardized formula is used to determine eligibility for the Pell grant. A Student Aid Report (SAR) containing results of the federal analysis is mailed to students who complete a paper FAFSA application or emailed to students who complete the online FAFSA application.

Tuition, fees, and other financial obligations are deducted from the grant before the student is considered for any balance.
|
| |
If grant funds remain, an award disbursement check will be mailed to the student's home address at the end of the second week of classes of each term.
|
| |
Funds delivered to a student are based on the number of credit hours the student is enrolled in at the time.
