In accordance with the Interinstitutional Articulation Agreement between the Pinellas County Schools’ Board of Education and the St. Petersburg College Board of Trustees, this program-to-program agreement provides opportunities for students to receive college credit for appropriate work completed at the high schools. St. Petersburg College agrees to award college credit to Pinellas County Veterinary Assisting graduates as specifically defined below:

All high school students are required to work at a veterinary clinic for 64 hours. They must keep a "journal" of what they see while there. They must be evaluated by the clinic at 32 and 64 hours. A minimum grade point average of 2.5 overall and 3.0 in Veterinary Assisting will be required. A grade of “P” will be given for the college credit. Students must enroll at SPC within 3 years after graduation to be eligible to receive the articulated credit. This Tech Prep Articulation Agreement replaces any previously existing agreements relating to the aforementioned program
