Did you test into MAT0012 Pre-Algebra or MAT0024 Elementary Algebra? Consider this option:

Some SLS1101 and MAT0018/MAT0028 courses are linked together to increase the potential for student success; this is referred to as a ‘cohort’.  All students enrolled in the cohort are in both classes.  This creates a fun, collaborative environment for students to form friendships, study groups, and work together in multiple classes toward success!

To further support student achievement, SLS1101 classes have a co-requisite, SLS1126 “The Mentoring Experience” in which students work with a faculty member in a mentoring capacity to increase potential for retention and success.
