Services for Students

Students are invited to relax, study, watch TV, play billiards, table tennis and various games. Free coffee available daily. Clubs may book ST 113 for monthly meetings (up to 30), the student conference room for smaller meetings (up to 12) and the entire lounge after hours (with advisor present) by contacting the Student Activities Office.; Student Activities puts together a variety of special and cultural events throughout the year. Most activities are free to students. Back-to-school Bash, "Food-for-Thought", Beach Week activities, and Off-Campus Excursions (nominal fee) to various local attractions are a few examples of these events. Check out the activity calendar for specific events.; Upcoming activities and events are published in the campus newsletter. Copies are free and can be picked up at Student Activities, Administration Info Desk, Hard Drive Cafe', Learning Support Center, and the Bookstore.; General Bulletin Boards; All notices must be approved by Student Activities. The Student Activities Office will review and post approved college related materials on designated bulletin boards on campus. Notices will be posted for up to two weeks.; Nautilus equipment, cardio machines, and free weights are available to all currently enrolled students to work out. Students must show a valid SPC Student ID card, wear appropriate workout attire, and bring a towel. Please see NOTE below for additional information.
Intramurals Program; Intramural sports are open to all students. Fall 2006 sports include Men's Basketball and Co-ed Volleyball. Games are played at The Long Center at 1501 N. Belcher Rd., Clearwater (1.5 mi from campus). Schedules will be made to play games among teams each Friday between 10am and 1pm with a tournament at the end of session. Nominal fee of $5.00 covers the entire session PLUS a T-shirt. Please see NOTE below for additional information.
Athletics; Intercollegiate athletics include men's baseball and women's softball, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, women's tennis and cheerleaders. Clearwater Campus is home to the men's baseball team. All other teams are located on the St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus.; Housing List; A list of off-campus housing is available for students to pick up. There are no on-campus housing facilities at the college.; Lost articles can be turned in or claimed at the Student Activities Office during office hours.; NOTE:; Participation in Intramural and Recreational Sports Programs, the Fitness Center, and fitness related activities is completely voluntary. Individuals participate at their own risk and assume responsibility for their own health and safety. St. Petersburg College is not liable for injuries sustained during participation in any of the above activities. It is strongly recommended that participants consult a physician and/or have a physical examination prior to participation. St. Petersburg College does not provide personal accident/health insurance. Therefore, participants are strongly urged to secure their own insurance.
