Useful Calculators |
|
A number of different calculator functions are available here. They
essentially offer to students a number of opportunities to verify a variety of assignment problems, to test problems to see if the answers they predict are correct, and to investigate several mathematical properties. Try each of the calculators to find those that may prove useful. |
Available Calculators |
Description |
| Calculate Areas | Calculate the area of a rectangle, triangle, circle, etc. |
| Convert Bases | Convert numbers from base 10 to another base |
| Parameter Conversions | This set of tables will to convert areas, lengths, volumes, liquids measures, and velocities from one type of parameter to another. |
| Circle Parts | Given the diameter, area, or circumference of a circle, this will calculate the other two values. |
| Rate, Time & Distance | Calculate the time, distance, or speed given any two of the pieces of information. |
| Least Common Multiple Greatest Common Divisor |
Enter two numbers and this will calculate the LCM and GCD. |
| Prime Number Verifier | Enter an integer and this calculator will determine if it is prime. If not it will give at least one factor. |
| Pythagorean Theorem | Give values for the legs of a right triangle and it will calculate the hypotenuse. |
| Quadratic Equation Solutions | Solves quadratic equations for inputted coefficients. Answers can be either real or complex. |
| Random Number Generator | This will generate normally distributed random numbers by entering a mean value and standard deviation and a quantity of values. |
| Cartesian Calculator | This page will accept two order pairs on a line segment and calculate the equation of the line, the slope, the y-intercept, a sample equation for a line parallel to the given line, and a sample equation of a line perpendicular to the given line. |
