| Prerequisite: ENC 1101 or ENC 1121H or IDS 1101H. This course is an introduction to the profession of journalism and to the theory and practice of writing news. Students are given practical experience in gathering news and writing and copyreading both news and feature stories. Student needs and demand determine the emphasis on grammar and usage.
