About
Corporate Training
History
St.
Petersburg College entered the corporate training business in 1985, with a
handful of computer courses offered on weekends. Corporate Training (CT) began offering
a variety of computer and management classes on-site at local corporations for
their employees. The business community's response was consistently positive, as
CT worked with business and industry to provide low cost, high-quality
training. The explicit purpose of the CT program was to be a visible partner in
Pinellas County by providing a full range of solutions including technology,
professional development, and certification
programs and continuing education for licensed professions. CT quickly became a key partner in the
economic development of Pinellas County and remains committed to assisting area
businesses and industries facing the challenges of a changing workplace.
Today
Corporate Training has moved into the newly
created EpiCenter. The facility is located in the heart of the ICOT
business complex in Largo. Partnering in this center are various divisions of
Pinellas County, a multitude of high-tech educational programs offering
economic, workforce and community development resources for the county, the
region and the state.
In today’s highly competitive, ever-changing and
productivity driven business environment companies must have efficient and
effective methods to understand today's and tomorrow's business solutions, and
then proactively implement these into their organizations. Do you build your own
infrastructure or create a partnership? And if you partner, what will be the
criterion used for selection? Trust, value, long-term relationships, global,
local, capable, and a proven track-record come to mind. St. Petersburg College
Corporate Training has all of this and more!
