Improving Performance in Existing Buildings:
Green Building Process, Strategies and LEED EB:O&M
You will learn about best practices for achieving greater sustainability in your facility, while also yielding ongoing operational cost savings. We will begin this session with an overview of the economic case for greening existing buildings. We will then outline the steps required for a comprehensive building sustainability audit, which is the first step in identifying opportunities for improvement. In addition, we will specifically review the various principles outlined in the LEED for Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance rating system. Finally, we will conclude with some inspiring case studies to demonstrate how various projects have successfully implemented highlighted strategies.
This course is approved for AIA Continuing Education credits. It also satisfies LEED Green Associates exam eligibility requirements and earns 2 LEED-specific and rating system-specific CE hours for LEED Professionals with specialty as a continuing education activity.
