Description
This is a hands-on training course that teaches basic AutoCAD skills. Students will learn to create lines, arcs, circles and other AutoCAD objects.  Once familiar with the basic commands, students will learn to dimension, scale, and add text and patterns. They will also study how to manipulate objects by moving, copying and rearranging, and learn to build blocks and insert them. The course will be taught using Heads Up Design.  Instructional Materials Included.

Description
This hands-on training course provides an in-depth understanding of AutoCAD. The Heads Up Design used throughout the course improves student productivity. Students will learn how to use grips to modify AutoCAD objects using only your mouse, Quick select and adding and subtracting objects. They will also cover work with multiple drawings, using view ports and layouts; use paper space and model space to create and plot multiple-view drawings; manipulate and modify toolbars; and use the design centers. Instructional materials included.

Revit Building 9.1 is a powerful parametric 3D modeling program for designing buildings. Since building projects themselves tend to be extremely complex, Revit Building is necessarily a complex program. The objective of this Revit Building 9.1 Level 1 course is to enable students to create full 3D architectural project models and set them up in working drawings. The class focuses on basic tools that the majority of users will need to work with Revit Building.

This course is intended for students who have completed the Revit Building 9.1 Level 1 training and are ready to explore the more advanced features in the software. Knowledge of basic techniques, such as creating walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, stairs, views, and sheets, as well as adding components is assumed. You should also be able to use Revit’s modification tools to efficiently copy and move objects and make changes to existing projects.

Topics include:

  • Modifying elevations, plans and sections

  • Creating custom walls, roofs and floors

  • Setting up Revit with templates, object styles, and materials

  • Creating families and family types

  • Using massing elements for conceptual design
