This course introduces students to PL/SQL and helps them understand the benefits of this powerful programming language. Students learn to create PL/SQL blocks of application code that can be shared by multiple forms, reports, and data management applications; create procedures, function, packages, and database triggers; use iSQL*Plus to develop these program units; learn to manage PL/SQL program units and database triggers to manage dependencies, to manipulate large objects, and to use some of the Oracle-supplied packages.

Oracle10g: Administration Workshop

Description
This course provides a foundation for administration of an Oracle database. It provides a conceptual overview of the Oracle database architecture, instance creation process, and covers important aspects of ongoing management. Topics include system preparation, installation steps and networking configuration, monitoring, backup and recovery, and the use of Oracle utilities. An overview of advanced topics include performance tuning and high availability options. Before beginning this course users should have a working knowledge of SQL.
