Steps to becoming a student
1. Complete Application for Admissions to St. Petersburg College along with $35 application fee..
2. Submission of an Official High School transcript. Applicants who have earned an Associate in Arts, Baccalaureate, or higher degree from an accredited institution are waived from this requirement.
3. Submission of all transcripts from previously or currently enrolled colleges.
4.Completion of placement testing and all college preparatory work. Applicants who have credits earned in mathematics, composition, and/or reading may be waived from the placement test.
5. Completion of St. Petersburg College orientation.
Additional steps to becoming a Health Education Center student
1. Review your chosen programs minimum requirements checklist for specific academic requirements necessary for eligibility. (To apply to the Nursing, Dental Hygiene or Radiography programs refer to the Selective Admissions Requirements Checklist)
2. Once you have met the eligibility requirements for your selected program, submit the Health Programs Application to the Records Office at the Health Education Center. (To apply to the Nursing, Dental Hygiene or Radiography programs refer to the Selective Admissions Application).
3. Please allow the Records Office 4-6 weeks to review your application. You will receive the status of your eligibility for admission to your selected health program by mail.
4. Once accepted into your selected health program, return the Notice of Intent included with your acceptance letter by the deadline indicated on the form to the Student Services Office at the Health Education Center. The acceptance letter will also address background screening, drug testing, and orientation to the Health Program.
