Attention New Nursing Graduates

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and CampusRN.com have joined forces to provide a new resource for graduating students looking to being their professional nursing career.

Found on the Web at http://aacn.campusrn.com/students/jobsearch.asp, the new Online Career Center includes a searchable database of vacancies available nationwide and important career information tailored for nurses prepared at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels. Over 1,300 positions are currently listed and accepting applications.

Students using this service are strongly encouraged to begin their career search by reviewing the employers listed on the Professional Nursing Network at http://www.aacn.nche.edu/pnn to evaluate each employer's ability to provide a professional practice environment. Federal Scholarship Program Notice:

The Department of Health & Human Services has announced that the federal scholarship program grant cycle is now available. The application cycle runs May through June each year. Program information is available online at: http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/nursing/scholarship or by phone: 1-866-867-6856.

Since the time frame for receipt of applications is very limited please share with colleagues as soon as possible. Candidates must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a professional and accredited school of nursing for a school year beginning between July 1 of the year of scholarship application and June 30 of the following year. This program does include a commitment of working on a full time basis after graduation in an area designated as having a critical nursing shortage.
