Office of Services for Students with Disabilities (OSSD)
 

St. Petersburg College offers reasonable accommodation to qualified students with disabilities in all programs. Students who will be attending allied health programs will be attending classes at SPC's Pinellas Park campus located at the corner of Park Blvd. and 66th Street North and/or on-line. This campus has an Office of Services for Students with Disabilities (OSSD) that can help with the unique challenges of the health fields. Accommodations provided by St. Petersburg College may not be allowed by State and/or National Boards. Please inquire directly when registering for any outside testing.

If you are a student receiving OSSD services at another SPC campus:

Simply bring your accommodation sheet to the HEC learning specialist and a new sheet, reflecting HEC specific information, will be given to you. You may NOT use your accommodation sheet from another campus at HEC.

If you have not received OSSD services from another SPC campus before:

Bring documentation of your disability and meet with the learning specialist to determine what services you may qualify to receive. All documentation is CONFIDENTIAL and will not be shared with anyone without your permission. Please visit the main OSSD website to learn more about documentation requirements.

Returning HEC OSSD students:

Each semester you must request a new accommodation sheet/service(s) by either dropping by HEC 182 and fill out the yellow "Accommodation Services-OSSD" form or fill out the form on-line Accommodation Services Form HEC.

Tutoring/Support Services at HEC:

Many students have benefited from the New Initiatives Program housed at the Health Center. Professional tutors, models, software, laser disks and many other resources are available for pre-health and health students. Be sure to drop by room 176 and see what they have to offer.
