Spherocytes

• Small dense RBC, loses its biconcave shape, thus losing its central pallor.

• Occurs in AIHA (IMHA)

• Repaired ruptured that becomes more rigid (tighter) and smaller with ball shape. Loses flexibility needed to travel through capillaries.
