HelpDesk was set up to
serve as a central point of contact for all Information Technology
related work orders. In the past, users were unsure of who to call
for the various problems that arose. Now, whenever you have a question
or a problem to report, the only area you need to call is the HelpDesk. |
| The
HelpDesk uses a database
that is accessed by Telecommunications, Computer Support Specialists,
Network Technical Support Specialists and the Network Manager. By
using a shared database, we are able to build an extensive knowledge
base and history of the work performed on your computer, phone, printer,
etc. and improve turn-around time on outstanding work orders. Please
have the following information available when contacting the HelpDesk:

is a HelpDesk work order required?
- Computer
software - reinstall, upgrade or repair

Data transfer and/or file conversion

Computer hardware repair (including monitors and printers)

Networking repair or installation

Telephone repair or installation

REGIS and PeopleSoft problems, printing problems, etc.
