SPC Honors College
Trustees’ Honors College Scholarships and Awards

The Honors College offers a variety of highly competitive scholarships and awards that are granted to both current and incoming honors students. While the selection criteria and the amounts of these scholarships vary, they all are awarded on the basis of academic merit - academic excellence and scholarly achievements.

Incoming freshman, current SPC students and transfer students must complete an Honors College Application and be accepted in the Honors College in order to be considered for any honors scholarship. If student’s Honors College Application indicates student’s interest in the Honors College Scholarship it automatically is referred to the Honors College Committee for review. Continuing Honors College members will automatically be considered for honors scholarships for the next semester. Students who are enrolled in less than 9 credit hours per semester are eligible for the partial scholarship with individual amounts decided by the Scholarship Committee.

Basic eligibility requirements for being selected as an SPC Honors College Scholarships are as follows:

1) Total Academic Points earned (200-600) – based on GPA (cumulative high school and college), SAT and/or ACT and/or CPT scores, honors experience, essay and letters of recommendations.
2) Leadership qualities, accomplishments, extracurricular activities and service-learning activities.

St. Petersburg College Institutional Merit Scholarships and Awards 

Presidential Scholarships

Available to academically qualified graduates of Pinellas County high schools who have received a regular high school diploma. Specific criteria may be obtained by contacting the Office of the Director of Scholarships and Student Financial Assistance.

Johnnie Ruth Clarke Scholarships

Available to African American, Hispanic, Asian, and other disadvantaged students of Pinellas County high schools who have received a regular high school diploma and demonstrated significant academic ability. Specific criteria may be obtained by contacting the Office of the Director of Scholarships and Student Financial Assistance.
