
SPC iTunes U
Instructions For Faculty
1. Go to www.spcollege.edu/iTunesU, enter your SPC Username and Password and click the "Login" button.

2. If you have not already installed iTunes, the "Download iTunes" Web page will appear. Refer to the "How to Install iTunes" instructions before proceeding.

3. If you have already installed iTunes, an "OK" window will appear, which you can close as soon as iTunes has opened.

4. Click the title of the course for which you want to upload podcasts.

5. The first time you access your course in SPC iTunes, you will want to add some basic information. Click "Edit Page" from the "Links" menu.

6. Click the pencil icon next to the SPC logo.

7. Type your name and then click the check icon.

8. Click the pencil icon underneath the description heading.

9. Type (or copy/paste) your course description and then click the check icon.

10. Click the arrow icon in the SPC logo picture.

11. Click the "Browse" button.

12. Locate and select the graphic file you would like to use for your course. Then click the "Open" button.

13. After uploading, you will return to SPC iTunes U and should see the graphic displayed.

14. Click "End Editing " from the "Links" menu.

15. To add podcasts to your course, click "Upload Files " from the "Links" menu.

16. Click the "Add Track(s)" icon.

17. Click the "Browse" button.

18. Locate and select the podcast file you would like to add to your course. Then click the "Open" button.

19. After uploading, you will see your podcast listed. Click the "Return to iTunes" icon.

20. Upon returning to your course , you will see your podcast listed. Students will click the "GET" button to download your podcast to their computer.

21. To upload more podcasts, or to delete podcasts, click "Upload Files " from the "Links" menu.

22. From there, you can either add more tracks by clicking the "Add Track(s)" icon.

23. Or, check the box next to the podcast you no longer want and select "Trash" from the "Move Selected Tracks To:" drop down menu.

24. To see the podcasts you have placed in the trash, click the "Trash" tab.

25. To delete podcasts permanently, click the "Empty Trash" icon.

26. To make your podcasts accessible to your students, log on to your course on ANGEL. Add the following URL link to "SPC iTunes U": http://www.spcollege.edu/iTunesU/iTunesU.php?uname=$USER_ID$
This can be done as a "Link" content item, or as a link within any ANGEL item in your course (e.g., Announcement, Page). This link, when used in ANGEL, allows students to bypass the SPC iTunes U login screen. Instructors, however, will still be prompted to enter their username and password at the SPC iTunes U login screen. This link will NOT work from outside your ANGEL course. Students can access SPC iTunes U by logging on at www.spcollege.edu/iTunesU
27. Include the following directions for your students:
Review the instructions on how to install iTunes and how to download podcasts from SPC iTunes U: www.spcollege.edu/itunesu/Tutorials/iTunesU_Students_Instructions.htm
28. Get in contact with your Campus Instructional Technologist at the start of each semester to have your course(s) updated in SPC iTunes U. You will need to provide your new course (section) number(s) so that your new students will be able to access your podcasts.
29. Keep copies of all podcasts you upload to SPC iTunes U as a back-up.
