Biography
I am the North County Chair of Applied Ethics.
I received my bachelor's degree in philosophy from The University of West Florida, and my Master's degree in philosophy from Western Michigan University. I was also a PhD student at Michigan State University. My area of focus (specialization) throughout was in meta-ethics and normative moral theory. The former is the theory of moral language and metaphysics, and the latter attempts to spell out how we should conduct ourselves.
When not busy ruminating on humor, rationality, morality, and sports I spend time with my wife Rhonda, and too much time watching sports on TV.
Note the following if you're taking my PHI 1600 courses:
This course requires the purchase of the following textbook: Goree, Keith, Manias, Nicholas & Till, Jane (2009), Ethics Applied, Edition 6.0, New York: Pearson (ISBN 10: 0-588-05454-4) Previous editions of Ethics Applied cannot be used for the course. Soon, a pre-graduation assessment is planned on being instituted – students will have to have knowledge of the critical thinking model that is taught in our course – this model is only in the 6.0 version.
