Biography: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koVHN6eO4Xg
Bachelors Degree: AUBURN UNIVERSITY, B.F.A. 1977 - Alpha Omircon Pi sorority sister, Pi Kappa Phi fraternity little sister, and shockingly a cum laude graduate. I was kidnapped once in New Orleans during a fraternity winter formal, ran through the plate glass door of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house, and ripped my hand open during a "dancing accident" at a club in Guatemala while on a school-sanctioned trip. There's my college cred. I had nothing to do with any Central American conflicts. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
Masters Degree: NORTHEASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY, English/Literature - 1999. Special focus on 20th century literature, comedy and character (by this time I had learned to keep my antics detached from campus).
Non-academic essential timeline late 70's through 1994: Resident of NYC, NY - dancer/theatre and fitness instructor (yes, I did go to Studio 54) and time served as paralegal at killer NYC firm (paralegal certification via Marymount Manhattan College - Continuing Ed. division); relocation to Chicago to pursue Masters Degree in '94; that was completed in May, 1999. Now I am on the Rainbow Tour.
Composition instructor from 1999-2003 in Chicago: Harold Washington College (City College System), Loyola University and Northeastern Illinois University.
Summer of 2003 to NOW, 2012: escape to the tropics, St. Pete, FL - to continue composition instruction, here at SPC and also at USF from 04-spring 09.
Summer 2012: I lined up work as "Ms 305" in Miami, but am evidently here still. Time. Youtube search for The Verve, "Bittersweet Symphony" video. That says something.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
"TOO MUCH RESTRAINT CERTAINLY IS A MISTAKE" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4H_Zoh7G5A&ob=av2e
PUBLICATION DUE OUT IN 2013: Hilarity in Higher Education (names will be changed to protect the innocent . . . only the innocent :)
