Welcome to my instructor course page! I teach humanities courses at St. Petersburg College on the Tarpon Springs campus. As far as my academic background is concerned, I have a Ph.D in Humanities from Florida State University where I wrote my doctoral dissertation on a comparative study between Shakespeare and Greek tragedy. I have a M.A. in English and a B.A. in English literature and I was recently a recepient of an NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities) fellowship at the University of Michigan. In addition to teaching humanities courses, I have presented papers at various academic conferences and enjoy writing and researching on Shakespeare. I have taught humanities since 1997 when I was a teaching assistant at Florida State University. I began teaching at St. Petersburg College in the fall of 2009. I enjoy teaching very much and have a passion for the humanities. On a more personal note, I am married to my wife Cindi and have a son named Noah (born December 2009). My interests include watching college football (Go Noles!), fishing, traveling, and reading.
