Ms. Conley enthusiastically transplanted herself to sunny St. Petersburg, Florida from freezing Portland, Maine in the early fall of 2010 and has never looked back. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Allegheny College, a certificate in Secondary Education from the University of New England, and a Master of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Southern Maine. She loves literary, interdisciplinary, and cultural studies and is passionate about academics and lifelong learning.
Ms. Conley has taught literature and writing in high school, alternative educational, and higher educational settings for over a decade. She has extensive training and employment experience in mental health and social services as well. Currently, in addition to teaching for SPC, she directs a learning center at a local independent school and instructs public yoga classes in St. Petersburg.
Teaching, service, and writing constitute Ms. Conley's callings and greatest loves, and she leads her classes with zeal and a characteristic, bright sense of humor. When she is is not hopping around the classroom or espousing the endless virtues of post-it notes, she is likely to be found upside down, practicing her handstands.
