Cherie has been an adjunct instructor with St. Petersburg College since 1999 working for the College of Computer & Information Technology, the College of Education and SPC's Corporate Training. "If there are students and computers, I'm there." I enjoy helping students build their confidence and prepare for the ever changing role technology will have in their lives. I particular enjoy teaching the Intro to Educational Technology course. Preparing young educators for the classroom of the future is exciting and challenging. I often teach Basic Computer and Information Literacy classes on Saturdays and enjoy teaching individual applications such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint, etc. through the Corporate Training department.
Since 1992 Cherie has been the owner/instructor of an on-site computer instruction business, Software Sense, serving local business and residential customers. She's also an adjunct Professor at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg. Prior to her transition into technology she worked as a teacher, counselor and program manager serving the needs of Florida teens in crisis. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Cherie has enjoyed being a resident of Clearwater since 1986.
