Biography
Mr. Moses obtained a Masters Degree in Economics from University of Virginia ("UVA") in 1995, after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelors Degree in Economics. He taught Economics classes during his tenure at UVA. Mr. Moses joined Dolphin Capital Management Inc., a Tampa-based "hedge fund" money management firm, in 1996, where he served as Vice President and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors until 2007. He was also President of Dolphin Fund Management Inc., a related investment fund management company, from 2002 to 2007. Since 2007, he has served as an independent consultant for hedge fund companies in various capacities, and has developed and implemented his own trading strategies for his own account. He has also been teaching at SPC full-time since 2008.
From these professional positions, Mr. Moses brings more than 12 years of real-world experience in observing and trading world-wide, macro-economic resource and financial markets to the economics classroom at SPC.

This course is designed to provide students with a general knowledge of the structure and function of economic systems with major emphasis on the American economy and its current economic problems. Prerequisites: (ENC 0025 and REA 0017) or EAP 1695 or appropriate score on the placement test. This is a course in economic principles involving the overall operation of the market economy. Particular attention will be given to the effects of aggregate demand and aggregate supply on the levels of output, employment, and prices. This course will also examine how the tools of fiscal and monetary policy may be used in dealing with macroeconomics problems such as unemployment, inflation and economic fluctuation. This course partially satisfies the Gordon Rule writing requirements outlined in the General Education Requirements. Credit is not given for both ECO 2013 and Honors Macroeconomics. 47 contact hours. |
