I have had the pleasure of teaching Developmental Math at St. Petersburg College since 2004. My diverse group of students constantly inspire me to find creative ways to teach them Algebraic concepts. I believe math anxiety is a reality and I strive to make my class a comfortable learning environment.
Math has always been a huge part of my life and I attribute this ongoing passion to my high school math tutor, Mark, who opened many doors for me. Through Mark, I gained the confidence and ability to further my math education. I proudly hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics and Dance (that's another story) from Florida State University.
As a former consultant with Andersen Consulting, I have worked with many Fortune 500 companies such as Anheuser-Busch, FedEx, The Gap, Progress Energy, and Florida Power and Light. I now own my own process improvement consulting firm where I strive to bring simple solutions and clarity to other executives and business owners.
I am the current President of the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association and I am actively involved with the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. I am happily married and the proud mother of 10 year old triplets who attend Perkins Elementary.
