Mission statement:

The Center of Excellence is a community-based program dedicated to providing holistic learning experience for students in the community through academic, cultural, and social activities, which in turn are designed to support student academic success.

The Center offers:

  • Tutoring through the Academic Enrichment Center.  Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at SPC Midtown.
  • The opportunity to secure college scholarships through participation in the Statewide Brain Bowl Competition in the areas of History & Culture and Mathematics.
  • Regional Competition is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2009, St. Petersburg Gibbs Campus 6605-5th Avenue South at 9 a.m.

  • Students can also be inducted into the National Achievers Society in recognition of high academic achievement.  Those students maintaining all A’s and B’s with the exception of one C in an honors course are eligible for induction.
