Learning Support Commons / Community Center

The Learning Support Center (LSC) is located in Room MT-107 and provides academic support services for all St. Petersburg College students. Our LSC staff can help students develop and improve their academic skills, provide lab instruction for college-prep reading and writing, and aid students in developing self-confidence, responsibility, and competence in their academic work.

Make Up Testing
Make up testing must be arranged throught your instructor.

Free Math and Writing Tutoring – January 9 – May 3
Free math tutoring is available at SPC Midtown for MAT 1112 Pre-Algebra, MAT 0024 Elementary Algebra, MAT 1033 Intermediate Algebra and MAC 1105 College Algebra.

  • When coming into the lab, be sure to present your Student ID and sign in at the front desk
  • Be sure to bring a flash drive to save your written works
  • Tutoring is done on a first come, first served basis and we do not make appointments

SPC Midtown students can use the SPC Online Library, the West St. Petersburg Community Library and the Nelson Poynter Library, USF St. Petersburg.

Bookstore

Students can purchase books at the Downtown Campus in DC 314, purchase textbooks online or at St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus.

Student IDs

SPC students taking classes at the Midtown Center need to obtain an SPC ID card. This card provides privileges to SPC libraries, computer labs and student events. You can obtain a SPC Photo ID card at the Midtown Center, Downtown Center or St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus.

Parking

Student parking at SPC Midtown is free.
