Interactive Classrooms

An interactive classroom and five receiving classrooms in the same building were installed. The five receiving rooms also have presentation capabilities. Each receiving classroom has a projector, camera, VCR and computer. There is also a "Portable Video Conference Cart" that can be used in any of the five classrooms. The cart has three-way video conference capability. The video conference can be routed to any of the five classrooms including the interactive classroom. The interactive classroom and the receiving rooms are currently being used for classes, presentations, and distance learning. The College of Education classes are telecasted from the interactive classroom at the Tarpon campus to other campuses and to our surrounding school districts.

The advance technology helps in preparing college of education students to be technologically-ready. It provides an environment and a culture of technology where faculty members model appropriate use of current and advance technology. An environment where prospective teachers understand the importance of using technology to enhance instruction and as a management tool for students' records.

The NCTT uses the interactive classroom and the receiving rooms for presentations and trainings that are telecasted to other campuses and school districts.
