National Science Foundation Grant

The Medical Device Industry Education Consortium was formed to build a learning and innovation network to develop and deliver industry-endorsed solutions that address critical industry-defined technical education and training needs.

St. Petersburg College led a group of Eight Community Colleges and Fifteen Industry partners to co-found the consortium.  A Department of Education (DOE) Grant funded the initial formation and curriculum development.

St. Petersburg College along with Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Minnesota and Edmonds Community College in Washington State was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Grant to further MDIEC and develop curriculum in three critical training areas: quality systems, information management and clinical data management.
