Head Coach Scott White
Coach White is in his ninth year as head volleyball coach at St. Petersburg College. He has coached 50 All-Conference selections, ten All-State selections, two conference players of the year, an NJCAA All-American, multiple Academic All Conference players and four National Academic All-Americans. These players propelled White to more than 100 wins in five seasons compiling a 140-106 career record for a 0.569 winning percentage. Under Coach White, St. Petersburg College has made seven straight appearances at the state championships. He is also certified by USA Volleyball (CAP II).
White was a four-year starter at the University of Michigan, earning three all conference selections and several all tournament honors. After college, Scott competed in USA Volleyball, where he made the USAV All Rookie Team and earned the regional MVP award, 11 regional championships and four top five finishes at the National Championships.
Coach White holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan and worked in the offshore oil-field for eight years before working 12 years in technology and business consulting. Mr. White founded one of the first 1000 Web sites in the early days of the Internet and consulted for several Fortune 500 companies in the areas of process engineering and digital strategy. Lately, Mr. white has been called on multiple times by cable news shows for his knowledge of offshore drilling. Coach White also teaches calculus, algebra and liberal arts mathematics online.
