Terry Brett  Terrence E. Brett, of St. Petersburg, is the co-owner of Brett Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. He is the board's current chair. He is past president of the St. Petersburg College Alumni Association, chairman of the Board of Governors of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Arts Center of St. Petersburg. He is a graduate of Leadership St. Pete and is chairman of its Planning Committee. He is an SPC graduate and in 1977 graduated from the Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Eckerd College.
Brett was appointed in May, 2008; his term expires in May, 2013.
Robert Fine  Robert J. Fine Jr., of St. Petersburg, has been president of Admiral Farragut Academy since 1998 and has served in various positions at the school since 1989. He has been a member of the Florida Council of Independent Schools since 1989 and served on the board of directors from 2005 to 2009. Fine is a member of the Southern Association of Independent Schools and National Association of Independent Schools. He is also past president of the Bay Area Association of Independent Schools. Fine received his bachelor’s degree from Carroll University and master’s degree from National Louis University.
Fine succeeds Richard Johnston and is appointed for a term beginning Sept. 23, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.
Deveron Gibbons  Deveron M. Gibbons, of St. Petersburg, has been vice president of Public Affairs with the Amscot Corporation since 2005. He is the board's current vice chair. Previously, he was senior government affairs advisor at Holland and Knight from 2003 to 2005 and director of government affairs for the Department of Community Affairs from 2000 to 2001. A St. Petersburg native, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1995 and his master’s in Public Administration from the University of South Florida in 2006. His association with SPC began at age 3, when he would accompany his mother to the library on what is now the St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus.
Originally appointed in June, 2006, Gibbons was reappointed for a term beginning Sept. 23, 2011, and ending May 31, 2014.
Tim North  Timothy O. North, of Belleair, is the president and chief executive officer of AmeriLife, the largest senior-focused insurance company of its type in the nation, specializing in everything from health care supplements to annuities. Most of his family has worked in education, including his father who taught in Pinellas County for 37 years and his mother who worked for Pinellas County Schools. Previously, he served as a board member and chaired the Finance Committee for Neurological Injury Compensation Association (NICA) for Florida, where through his leadership, assets for the NICA Fund grew from approximately $400 million to more than $700 million. North received his bachelor’s degree from University of the South.
North succeeds Evelyn Bilirakis and is appointed for a term beginning Sept. 23, 2011, and ending May 31, 2015.

The SPC Board of Trustees is comprised of five positions, one of which is currently vacant.

SPC President Bill Law serves as secretary to the Board of Trustees.
