- SACS Accreditation Fifth-Year Compliance Certification
St. Petersburg College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC) to award selected bachelor's degrees in science and bachelor's degrees in applied science; associate degrees in arts, associate degrees in science, and associate degrees in applied science; as well as certificates and applied technology diplomas. St. Petersburg College has been accredited by the SACS-COC since 1931 and was last reaffirmed in 2008. In 2013, SPC successfully submitted to the SACS-COC the college's Fifth-Year Interim Report, which was accepted without any required follow up reporting.

The Quality Enhancement Plan is an action plan for institutional improvement crucial to enhancing educational quality directly related to student learning. The QEP is based on a comprehensive analysis of the college's effectiveness in supporting student learning and accomplishing the college's mission. The focus of the QEP is "improving student learning in critical thinking via active and collaborative learning techniques."
