SPC graduation

Graduating from SPC

ImportantAt the end of each term, students that meet all graduation requirements will automatically be awarded their degree or certificate. You are no longer required to apply for graduation. The name on your diploma will be the name we have in the SPC student system and will be sent to the address on file. You must register to attend the commencement ceremony and/or if you would like a more formal name printed on your diploma, i.e. Deborah in lieu of Debbie or William in lieu of Bill and tell us the address to mail it to. To register, log in to MySPC, choose My Learning Plan then choose Register for Commencement and complete the commencement checklist.


Graduation refers to the term in which you have officially and successfully completed all of your degree requirements and recorded on the official transcript. To be eligible to graduate, you must be registered for all classes that are required to complete your degree or certificate. Final graduation certification is made by Admissions and Records after final grades are verified at the end of the term.

To review your personalized advising report in MySPC, click on ‘View My Advisement Report.” If you have any questions about graduation requirements, contact an advisor who can perform a graduation check with you to determine if you are eligible to graduate.

Final responsibility for meeting graduation requirements rests with you, the student. If a degree requirement is not met, applicants will be notified by mail at the end of the graduation processing.

Commencement Ceremony

SPC holds commencement ceremonies three times a year, at the end of the Fall, Spring and Summer terms. Let us know if you plan to participate in commencement ceremonies.


After the College has verified that all degree requirements have been met, your diploma will be mailed to the address we have on file in our student system within 2 weeks after the degree is awarded. If your address changes, email your new address to us at

Honors designation on your diploma will be based on your final cumulative GPA.

A $15 diploma fee for a duplicate or replacement is required. Contact if you have any questions.


Check in MySPC to make sure your degree has been applied to your records before you request a transcript. NOTE: Beginning Spring Term 2017, official hard copy transcripts will cost $5 per copy. Official transcripts transmitted electronically to other Florida state public universities and colleges are free.
