Mark Kudisch: What Makes me Tick?

Charming and genuinely accessible to his audiences, “Kudisch,” says one critic of his up close and personal show,” should come out from behind the footlights more often. He’s wonderful company. The musicians are skilled, symbiotic, and fun to watch. In between singing some of Broadway’s most memorable as well as more obscure show tunes in his booming baritone, Kudisch tells witty and moving stories of his associations with many of Broadway’s giants and their effect on his developing artistry. Among Broadway’s most popular leading men whose credits include 9-5, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and the New York City Opera’s revival of The Pirates of Penzance,  this four-time Tony nominee is currently appearing in Lincoln Center’s A Minister’s Wife. With his 4-piece band doing a mix of Broadway, country, folk, fusion and jazz, all rolled up into one big jam fest.  Supported by tangy arrangements and a beautifully written monologue, Kudisch leads the audience through his discovery of theater, his vocal influences and his journey to-date. Describing the show in his own words, Kudisch says, "This concert is a musical conversation of how I got here and why I'm driven to be here; the inner workings of What Makes Me Tick..."

She’s been seen on film in 13 Going on 30, Gotta Kick It Up, countless independents and voiced the animated characters of “Meg” in Disney’s Hercules, and “Lin” in the Academy Award-winning Spirited Away, among others. She spent two seasons on WB’s Nikki and guest-starred on HOUSE, NUMB3RS, NYPD Blue, Arli$$, Drew Carey, Party of Five, Great Performances, and more.  Egan sings with symphonies worldwide, has over 40 recording credits including five solo CDs, and was named Best Vocalist of the Year by TalkinBroadway.com.
