This course is designed to provide an introduction to financial institutions and the services offered within those institutions. Topics will include principles related to the history, growth, and structure of the financial industry, basic functions of financial institutions, basic skills necessary to perform in financial institutions, security and fraud detection procedures, real estate, and mortgage lending.
