This course examines the nature of insurance, insurable interests, the definitions of risk, persons insured, the procedures for filing claims, defenses of the insurer, doctrines of waiver and estoppel, measures of recovery, the insurer's duty to defend, bad faith causes of action, reinsurance, bonds, and regulation of insurance. 47 contact hours.
