ATE 1211 ANIMAL PHYSIOLOGY 3 credits

Pre- or corequisites: ATE 1110 and ATE 1110L, both with a grade of "C" or higher. This course is designed to acquaint the student with physiology of the domestic animal species. The course emphasizes the differences between the systems of the domestic animals, such as the metabolism and digestive processes of the ruminants, non-ruminant monogastric and monogastric species. Aspects of physiology relating to the pathogenesis of certain diseases will also be discussed. 47 contact hours.
