PREREQUISITES - Applicants to the College of Education EPI Program:
  • Must have graduated with at least a bachelor’s degree in a non-education major from a college or university.
  • Must have a 2.5 overall grade point average.
  • Must have a commitment to teaching.
  • Must  pass the General Knowledge (GK) Test and Math 6-12 Subject Area Exam (SAE). See the Certification Examinations for Florida Educators Web site for testing details.
  • Must be computer literate.

* School-based hours total 55 clinical hours plus 15 hours of field experience.

Completion Requirements
:
Completing all program requirements, including ESOL, demonstrating competency in the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPS) at the pre-professional level, passing all sections of the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE), and completing school based hours are conditions of program completion.
