Job Related Opportunities:

Paramedics are a mainstay in companies or agencies operating emergency vehicles that respond to traffic accidents, fires, explosions, cave-ins, emergency rescue calls and other life-threatening situations. Some also assist in patient care in hospitals and doctors' offices, with specific instruction and supervision.

This certificate is designed to produce paramedics, whose job description involves advanced life support, to deliver the pre-hospital, life support care and transportation necessary to victims of accident and emergency illness. Successful completion of the prescribed courses and the awarding of a certificate of completion means eligibility to take the State of Florida examination for certification or national registry exam for certification as a Paramedic. Prerequisites:

  • Must meet all college admissions requirements, including college placement tests
  • Current certification as a FL certified EMT-Basic
  • Current CPR card at the healthcare provider level
